HKU/Dutch Carillon School

The HKU/Dutch Carillon School is happy to announce a summer academy prior to the World Carillon Congress 2023.

The academy will start on Monday, August 21st at 2:00 PM and ends on Wednesday, August 23rd at 10:00 PM. The program consists of three courses.

- Arranging popular music for the carillon with Tommy van Doorn
- Improvising in baroque and classical style with Christiaan Winter
- Interpreting early music (16th-18th century) on carillon with Rien Donkersloot

The course ends with a presentation by the students on the carillons of the Onze-Lieve-Vrouwetoren in Amersfoort.

Location: Dutch Carillon School, Grote Spui 11, Amersfoort (only 15 train minutes from Utrecht).
Fee: € 300,- including coffee, tea, one dinner and two lunches, and use of the practice instruments.
Fee for observers: € 200,- including coffee, tea, one dinner and two lunches.
